We are proud to share that Todd Duffany, Managing Partner of M. Duffany Builders, was formally installed as President of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC) during the Association’s Annual Meeting held on December 16, 2025, in Hyannis.
The Annual Meeting marked an important moment for HBRACC and its membership, bringing together builders, remodelers, suppliers, and industry partners from across Cape Cod and the Islands to reflect on a year of progress, recognize outstanding contributions, and set the course for the year ahead. As part of the evening’s program, the 2026 Board of Directors was sworn in, with Todd Duffany assuming the role of President.
Todd’s installation as President reflects years of active involvement with HBRACC and a sustained commitment to strengthening the building and remodeling industry on Cape Cod. Through his service on the Association’s executive committee and board, Todd has played an active role in advocacy efforts addressing housing production, zoning, infrastructure, workforce development, and energy policy—issues that directly affect the region’s ability to build and renovate homes responsibly and efficiently.
These priorities are not theoretical to the M. Duffany Builders team. Our work in custom home building on Cape Cod and historical restorations & renovations has long emphasized quality construction, thoughtful design, and long-term value—principles that closely align with the mission of HBRACC and its advocacy efforts.
In a letter to the HBRACC community published earlier this month, Todd emphasized the importance of practical, common-sense policy and sustained member engagement. He underscored the Association’s essential role in representing builders, remodelers, and industry partners at both the local and state levels, noting that thoughtful advocacy is more critical than ever as regulatory pressures and housing demand continue to intensify across the Commonwealth.

The 2025 Annual Meeting also served as a capstone to a productive year for HBRACC under the leadership of outgoing President April Ducott of Monomoy Home. During her term, the Association strengthened internal governance, expanded partnerships, modernized bylaws, and increased member engagement throughout the region.
HBRACC also highlighted several key accomplishments from the past year, including a record-breaking Building & Remodeling Industry of Cape Cod (BRICC) Awards program, expanded workforce development initiatives, and continued advocacy successes on behalf of the building community. These efforts underscore the Association’s ongoing commitment to supporting both its members and the broader Cape Cod community.
As President, Todd has outlined clear priorities centered on supporting responsible housing production and preserving an environment where builders and remodelers can operate effectively. These priorities include advocating for reasonable energy code implementation, smart growth zoning, improved infrastructure access, and policies that balance environmental stewardship with the practical realities of building on Cape Cod.
“Our industry’s voice matters,” Todd said following his installation. “As President, I am committed to championing smart growth, reasonable energy policy, infrastructure investment, and the ability to build quality housing for our communities.”
Todd’s leadership at HBRACC reflects the same values that guide our work every day: respect for craft, accountability to clients, and a long-term view of what it takes to effectively build on Cape Cod.
