This historic Cape Cod home, built at the turn of the 20th century is significant for its history of ownership and the innovation found throughout. Our focus was on restoration and renovation of the home with a commitment to retaining as many of the original elements as possible, while delivering 21st century functionality. To accomplish this, we had to gut the home, lift it and support to provide a modern foundation for the 11,000 square-foot structure.

The original structure was so well-built that few modifications were needed to deliver modern functionality. It’s also a rare instance where an architect was not required for a project of this caliber when we needed to re-work things, establish built-ins or other alterations. Harmonious collaboration between our team and Kate Coughlin, paired with the client’s clear vision was the formula for success.
