Mike Duffany
Biography
As time went on Custom Carpentry began to grow and take on larger projects that required a bigger team. As Michael’s project management skills were developing, five carpenters were added to the team, laying the foundation for the company we know today. By 2001 Michael’s focus had shifted to building more elaborate and custom designed homes, which of course required adding more project managers to his team.
Fast forward to today and M. Duffany Builders has grown into a flourishing company that boasts over 50 employees across three divisions: Design & Preconstruction, Construction, and Estate Management. With two offices in Falmouth and Orleans M. Duffany Builders services are available throughout all of Cape Cod and the Elizabethan Islands.
Michael is deeply committed to serving the community, something which has always been an integral part of his identity. He takes great pride in his numerous contributions, which include co-founding the Falmouth Pop Warner Football program and serving as a Babe Ruth Baseball coach. His involvement as Assistant Scoutmaster and Volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America further highlight his dedication to youth development in the community.
Michael’s civic engagement extends to a range of leadership roles. He’s been a member of the Board of Directors for the 300 committee for over 25 years and has played a significant role in the Town of Falmouth’s Building Committees for projects such a Lawrence School, Morse Pond, Mullen-Hall, and Falmouth High School. He’s also served on the Siting Committee for the new Hatchville Fire Station, new Senior Center, and the Poor House Historic Committee.
His long-standing commitment to local governance is evident in such roles as Falmouth Town Meeting Member since 1980, Past and incoming President of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Massachusetts, and former Board of Directors member for Habitat Cape Cod and Falmouth Local Access TV (FCTV).
